Known as "God's Own Country", Kerala deserves this adjective because of its climate and natural beauty, as well as the majestic presence of the temple spirit who inhabits each country in various guises as the concept of God. The Edappurathu Temple, dedicated to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Murthy, the patron saint and patron deity of Puthuruthy, is on its way to the perfection of a great temple that has survived to its present day.
The only hope we all have is that the Edappurathu temple is re-enacting that great culture that had the glory of the temple centuries ago. The six-day festival is set to begin in the near future. Prior to that, the restoration work of the half-finished temple needs to be completed.
The Board then envisages an Ashtamangala Deva Prashnavicharam, the first major action plan with a budget of around Rs.50Lakhs.
The governing body is humbly taking up the task of raising this temple to the level of a great temple, which has been going on for barely a few months. The ancient history of this temple is believed to be centuries old
The sanctum sanctorum was constructed in the style of a Garbha Greha. The fact that the main deity is about 4 feet tall is astonishing. The Mukhamandapam is located close to the sanctum sanctorum. The guardian deity of the temple is situated on either side of the sanctum sanctorum.
Adjacent to the large temple are idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Ayyappan. Apart from this, there are other idols of Nagaraja and Brahmarakshas.
The festival was held here in a grand manner.

ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ ഒരു മഹാക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നിലവാരത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്താനുള്ള ദൗത്യമാണ് ഭരണസമിതി വിനയപൂർവ്വം ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പുരാതന ചരിത്രത്തിന് നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളുടെ പഴക്കമുണ്ടെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു
ഗർഭഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ മാതൃകയിലാണ് ശ്രീകോവിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയ്ക്ക് ഏകദേശം 4 അടി ഉയരമുണ്ട് എന്നത് അതിശയകരമാണ്. ശ്രീകോവിലിനോട് ചേർന്നാണ് മുഖമണ്ഡപം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ശ്രീകോവിലിന്റെ ഇരുവശത്തുമായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ കാവൽ ദേവൻ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.
വലിയ ക്ഷേത്രത്തോട് ചേർന്ന് ഗണപതിയുടെയും അയ്യപ്പന്റെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ഇതുകൂടാതെ നാഗരാജാവിന്റെയും ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസിന്റെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.
