The temple situated at Kaduppassery , Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district . Goddess Durga is the main deity of this temple. It Is one of the 108 Durgalaya's in India created by Parasurama (Prathishtapana). And one of the participant in the famous 'Arattupuzha Pooram', which has been celeberated in the month of March/April every year, know as "Deva Mela".The annual festival is celebrating on april 14 th (vishu pooram) every year.
Thrikarthika in the month of Vrischikam is another important day. On that day there will be navakam,panchagavyam,sreebothabali,and prasadoot. On Kartika nal of every month there will be Kartika varam.In the evening there will the ceremony of "Vram Irikkal" by thirumeni. After that there will be Varasdhya.Devotees conduct bhajana after deeparadhana. The poorappara which begins as "Makeeram Purappadu" before Arattupuzha pooram during the month of Meenam (March - April). Bhagavathi will will visit the houses of devotees on elephant accompanied by melam. People will receive with "Nirapara and Nilavilaku". On the previous day of the Perumanathu Pooram, Bhagavathi reveives pattu form Avittathurappan. Daily arattu ,Nagarnni Athazham,Thattakathu para,Thrakkal pooram,kodikkal para, Uthrtam pattu are the important functions. Mahasivarathri is celiberated in the month of Kubha masam (February March).At 11pm in the night Avittahurappan(Sivan) brings devi from kadupapssery to Avittahur temple by sending elephant,melam etc. The ezhunnallippu accompanied by irakki ezhunnallipu at Avittahur temple .After that both sivan and devi will particpate in kootiezunnallipu on separeate two elephants. At the end of the sivarathri vilakku, ther will be fireworks. Devi goes back in the morning after "yathra parachil" Prathistha dhinam is celibrated on Chithira of Edave masam (May - June)
